Why is this important to parents?Homework It's a common question to many children who ask their parents why they should be doing homework, when it is so hard to do now? Well, that's a very good question. Here are some facts:The most important thing to your child is his time. If he is tired or impatient, or if he is bored, he'll learn nothing. It is proven in early years that homework can benefit a child. It helps him develop skills such as reading and mathematics. And if you do it the right way, it will also create a healthy learning environment for the child.Homework at home or in school. It's easy to get yourself into the habit of not having homework on your desk. And then your child might come home from school and you'll find them playing, or even watching TV. If they've got homework, you can stop them and give them a little 'time out' to do their homework in a more 'honest' way.You can't run out of homework if your child al ready has it on their desk. But there are ways that you can make it easier for him to do his homework. Instead of doing it all at once, take a little break every half hour to do one or two tasks, while you continue to do the other.Helping your child to understand what it means to work on one's homework and how important it is. You could give them a small reward, or give them something to do besides watch TV or play video games. There are many things that can help them get through the day, even though they are tired, bored, or frustrated. This is why we try to get the child involved in the learning process. It's the only way to go. Not only do they enjoy themselves, but they're going to do what they need to do to learn.
